Hi!
Does anyone know how to wear sarris and where to buy them? in my country it is very difficult to buy: I have found some fancy sarris, but I would like something casual for going out, not a "million dollar" clothing.
If anyone has tips how to wear it ... I would aalso be very very grateful!

Hi, Saris are quite popular. If you're from India, Nepal or Pakistan, they should be easy to find. I'm pretty sure they're like a one piece outfit, kind of like a sarong. They are extremely versatile. Maybe you could see if your town has an imports store that carries them. If not, try checking on the internet. I know in some countries, women wear blouses over them. I've never actually worn one, but would love to sometime.

Hi, since you're from Slovenia, be careful, Saris are meant to be worn in extremely warm climates. Check out Wikipedia for more sari information. Also, if you're not well sighted, ask a sighted friend what would be the best way for you to wear a sari. Not all styles will flatter all figures. I know sometimes saris are worn with jeans, but I'm not sure if this is still popular, so again, use the net to do some research.

the sari is not easy to wear even sited people have to ask for help when putting it on it takes some training to do the best thing to do is to ask a sited friend for help in choosing the right 1 u can get 1's now that are ready made up which makes it easier. shops that i can recomend are seasons in bombay and sheetal. send them an email and ask for the ready made sari's they may also be able to provide u with pictures to help guide how to where it but i'm not to sure about this. will try to find some other shops for u so u have more choice.

You could also try something called salwar aameez. It's a long loose dress with comfy pants underneath and they come in all colors & sizes. They're great on blistering hot days when nothing else will keep you cool & covered at the same time. I'll google this and see what I can find. Happy shopping. Tiffany

hahaha. this topic amuses me.

Even though I'm not wearing saris, I can help you by sending some pictures demonstrating how to wear saris for you if you're interested. Btw, I'm from India.
